ANAHEIM - Don't stop now, pound them. Squeeze them until they're blue, their eyes bulge like they're on cartoon springs.
Come on, Angels, stomp the yard with Red Sox. Take a breath, and then stomp 'em some more.
Crush the arrogance right out of them. Until you own this team, until you're begging to meet them in the postseason.
That would be that little place where the Red Sox have dismissed you with embarrassing ease.
Where they showed up, crushed a few balls, and sent you off packing, heads between legs. Made it look easy. Like they were fighting to control laughter.
The Red Sox have rolled over the Angels three times in the playoffs, have won nine consecutive postseason games against them.
So no one should fall for this, "It's July. Just another series. Doesn't mean anything special. Has no relevance toward the postseason."
