It's Colts, by a nose

Maybe Dwight Freeney is the lucky one.

He's got a bad ankle that were this not Super Bowl week would have him on crutches.

Instead, we're seeing the NFL Network zoom on in his bare ankle as he wears flip-flops to Super Bowl Media Day. They're calling it the most talked about ankle since Curt Schilling's.

But that's not why he's lucky. Because of that ankle, he may not have to be on the field in Miami on Sunday when the Colts and Saints play what might resemble a game of flag football in Super Bowl XLIV. He's a defensive end and a lot of defensive players will likely need those last two letters in this Roman numeral to keep them going. Or keep them breathing.

This is expected to be one of those pick the over Super Bowls, where the defense rests. And rests. And needs more rest just to keep up with two of the most prolific offenses around.
