Local girls gualify for Junior Women's National

Congratulations to Katie Annand from Nashua Country Club and her teammates Laura Murphy and Emily Walker from the Broomstones Curling Club, and Laura Bernier from the Cape Cod Curling Club on qualifying to compete at Junior Women's Nationals at the end of this month. Katie's team finished tied for second in the recently completed The Grand National Curling Club Play-downs held in Rochester, NY. They are one of three GNCC teams to qualify for the championships to be held in Bemidji, Minn.

The Grand National is a Union of 39 Curling Clubs located in New England and the Mid-Atlantic States.

Nashua Country Club has the only curling club in New Hampshire and has organized curling for more than 80 years.
