KEENE SENTINEL - A Keene man was charged with drunken driving after hitting two elderly women in a crosswalk on Main Street in Marlborough, police said. Doris Wilcox, 79, and Sheryl Robinson, 80, both of Marlborough, were leaving the Federated Church Ladies Group meeting and were crossing Main Street when they were struck by a vehicle driven by Terance L. LaClair, 59.
Wilcox was taken by helicopter to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Robinson was taken by ambulance to Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene.
LaClair was charged with driving while intoxicated.
