Dallas South Oak Cliff High center J'Mison Morgan officially was released from his letter-of-intent with LSU on Tuesday.
Bianca Morgan, J'Mison's mother, confirmed to the Daily News that her son still plans to attend UCLA, which has not been a secret.
UCLA still had not received a copy of J'Mison Morgan's official release and therefore couldn't comment. Morgan is now a recruitable student athlete, and UCLA could only confirm if it is recruiting him.
That's seemingly a no-brainer since freshman center Kevin Love entered the NBA draft, and UCLA recruited Morgan out of high school. When John Brady was fired and Trent Johnson was hired, Morgan wavered several times before deciding he didn't want to play for the Tigers.
Morgan, however, can't sign a letter-of-intent with any school. Recruits can sign just one letter-of-intent per year, according to the national letter-of-intent Web site, which is governed by the Collegiate Commissioner's Association
