GREEN: U.S. roster has questions as camp starts

With only two U.S. games remaining and three months to go before Bob Bradley selects his World Cup roster in early May, the significance of the second national team camp of the year that begins Wednesday in Carson takes on an added dimension, especially for those players on the bubble.

Realistically, only a handful of the 23 MLS players heading to camp still have a shot of making the roster.

But with injuries - by one count eight potential U.S. World Cup players missed games for their club teams because of assorted knocks last weekend - taking their toll to a degree not seen before previous World Cups, opportunities to make the squad still exist.

Of the 23 players Bradley will take to South Africa, three are goalkeepers. With regular starter Tim Howard of Everton and backup Brad Guzan of Aston Villa seen as locks, that's the one position with plenty of depth.
