CALABASAS - Two juveniles have confessed to accidentally starting an 80-acre brush fire near Malibu Creek State Park while playing with fireworks, a sheriff's lieutenant said Thursday. The two 15-year-old boys turned themselves in to the Lost Hills Sheriff's Station on Wednesday afternoon, said Lt. Larry Lincoln of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Arson Explosives Detail. They were booked on suspicion of recklessly causing Tuesday's fire and were released to their parents. Investigators found fireworks near the blaze's point of origin, Lincoln said. The investigators also spoke with witnesses who said they saw two boys running from the scene. The District Attorney's Office is examining the case, Lincoln said. No one was hurt in the blaze and no structures were damaged, Lincoln said. http://dailynews.com/news/ci_10330386   Read Full Article...
