Lotus, the British-made sports car, has been added to Galpin Motors Premier Collection, joining Aston Martin, Jaguar, Volvo and Lincoln automobiles, the company announced Wednesday.
The Van Nuys dealership becomes the only showroom in Los Angeles County to carry the Lotus brand, which includes the Elise, Elise SC, Exige S240 and Exige S260 models.
The line will expand in 2010 with the launch of the mid-engine Evora, which will have a sticker price starting at roughly $79,000. "Los Angeles' car culture has always had a great affinity for sports cars and we feel the Lotus brand enhances our `premier collection' seamlessly," said Beau Boeckmann, president of the Galpin Premier Collection.
