SALT LAKE CITY - As Carlos Boozer suffered through one subpar playoff performance after another, his teammates did their best to help him - by staying away and letting him play through his slump.
"A player like that is going to figure it out," teammate Matt Harpring said. "There are a lot of games and you can't get down. You have to keep fighting and if you have any character at all you are going to come out and play."
Boozer did just that Friday, finishing with 27 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Jazz past the Lakers 104-99 in Game 3 of the conference semifinals. His 20 rebounds tied his career playoff high and were two short of tying Karl Malone's playoff record of 22.
Strong from the start, Boozer was at his best in the final minutes when the Lakers threatened most.
