SACRAMENTO - Sometimes dreams do come true.
A woman, named Maria C., had a dream on Oct. 23 that she found a big box full of cash, according to California Lottery officials. Inside the box, Maria also found a huge, shiny gold coin.
The next day she bought a $10 Scratchers ticket called the $250 Million Cash Spectacular game and became an instant millionaire.
When asked what she would like to do with her newfound wealth, Maria said she would like to buy herself a little house, a new car for her and her daughter and use the rest to put her three children through school.
Maria is the third instant million dollar winner turned out by the lottery's $250 Million Cash Spectacular Scratchers game. The winning ticket was purchased at Media Center Chevron located at 3701 West Riverside Dr., in Burbank. The retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the top prize-winning ticket.
