Ducks help dig their own hole

ANAHEIM - Two games into the Stanley Cup playoffs, both of them on home ice, both losses, Randy Carlyle dug deep and finally found a good feeling.

"I would suspect that we'll play the best hockey game we can possibly play," the Ducks head coach said, "when we get to Dallas."

Trailing two games to none with the best-of-seven series shifting to the road, the Ducks have no choice.

The 17,181 paid fans at Honda Center thought they were seeing the Ducks' best hockey for the first 45 minutes of Game 2 on Saturday.

But it quickly morphed into a 5-2 laugher for the Stars over the next 10minutes, a victory foiled by the Ducks' own worst enemy - themselves.
