DENVER - No one had to remind Derek Lowe of his history at Coors Field, which now includes 15 earned runs in 12 1/3 innings in his past three starts.
And no one had to tell him that the next question would be whether the place had gotten into his head.
But he still didn't have a definitive answer.
"I have pitched poorly here about every way I possibly could," the Dodgers right-hander said. "I think the biggest thing going here is that you can't walk guys. I don't think I gave up an extra-base hit, but that doesn't necessarily mean you still won't lose here. You don't go into a game thinking you're going to lose. It's not like I look at the schedule and say, `Chalk this one up to a loss.' But for some reason, I think a lot of guys, both hitters and pitchers, have one place where they aren't really that comfortable."
Actually, Lowe did give up one extra-base hit, a first-inning double by Omar Quintanilla. But that was hardly what cost Lowe and the Dodgers the game
