DENVER -- It has survived blown leads, including one in the ninth inning and two others of at least five runs.
It has survived the energy-sapping humidity of South Florida and the bone-chilling cold of Colorado, all on the same trip.
And for the past two evenings, it has survived vintage Coors Field insanity, the type rarely seen in the years since the Rockies started storing their baseballs in a humidor.
And now, after a 12-7 victory over the Rockies in front of 38,597 on Saturday night, this Dodgers winning streak has managed to survive for at least one more day.
It presently stands at eight, the club's longest in almost two years.
As is so often the case in this famously wacky ballpark - which was built extra large to cut down on cheap, mile-high home runs and as a result has an outfield that is way too vast and gives up way too many extra-base hits that lead to way too many high-scoring games - there were far too many storylines to dwell on any specific one
