Every time I've curled up in front of the TV to watch a world-class brawl, I reflect on how much boxing is like being a columnist: Bluster comes at you from the other corner. You have to pick just the right moment to come out swinging. If you get knocked down, you'd better get up or you're out of the game. And hitting below the belt is just not kosher.
Boxing is also a lot like the political arena - which makes Vitali Klitschko's run for the Kiev mayor's office a natural fit.
Yes, as "Iron Man" is tearing up the U.S. box office, "Dr. Iron Fist" is attempting to stamp out corruption in his corner of the Ukraine. The 6-foot-7-inch former World Boxing Council heavyweight champion - who, as the nickname implies, holds a Ph.D. and knocked out his opponents in 34 of his 35 wins - will step back into the ring in October to face "Nigerian Nightmare" Samuel Peter.
But first, City Councilman Klitschko must try to knock out incumbent Kiev Mayor Leonid Chernovetsky
