Young Chivas piling up losses

Goats' winless streak extended to five despite A minute after Chivas USA had given up the first goal of the game - a regular occurrence for the team - captain Jesse Marsch began a one-man campaign.

The veteran midfielder picked up a yellow card with a hard challenge of Kenny Mansally, who had scored for the New England Revolution.

Late in the first half, Marsch tagged defender Wells Thompson at midfield, drawing a warning from referee Mark Geiger, who would not have been faulted if he had brought out a red card.

In the second half, with Chivas down by two goals, Marsch kicked a dead ball right at an opponent, prompting several members of the Revolution to get in Marsch's face.

Yet there was little the fiery Marsch could do to fire up Chivas USA, which remained winless in its last five games with a 2-1 defeat to New England before an announced crowd of 10,927 Sunday at Home Depot Center   Read Full Article...
