I didn't even have to get out my crystal ball to predict this weekend's top-grossing movie. "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" is the only wide release new in the marketplace, playing in nearly 4,000 theaters.
Start counting the money, Disney!
The studio's sequel to 2005's "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" already has a built-in fan base from the first movie and the books on which they're based.
The first "Narnia" was a December release and opened to $65million. Fans will flock to theaters to be among the first to see "Prince Caspian," which could ring up as much as $80million in ticket sales through Sunday.
HOLDOVERS: "Iron Man" has ruled for two solid weeks, but it will drop gracefully into second place and still draw crowds. I think the Robert Downey Jr. smash will add at least $25million to $28million to its total and cross the $200million mark domestically by Sunday
