You want to know something about rules and golf courses around the world?
Check with Bob Wright of Rancho Cucamonga, who's been playing the game for 60 years, saves cap and hat emblems from visits to 1,285 courses in 20 countries and has served as a rules official for the PGA and the SCGA for decades.
"I worked in marketing for General Dynamics, so I had a chance to travel the world with my job," Wright said Tuesday. "I've collected emblems everywhere I've gone.
"I saved the hats at first, but now I throw them away and have the emblems mounted at home."
Wright, an avid golfer and a longtime member at Red Hill Country Club, doesn't play these days because of chronic back problems.
"It's been six months since I've played," he said. "I used to play four times a week, but I still work as a rules official with the PGA."
