Missing tribute

I have been meaning to write this letter for quite some time, with my busy life and many disruptions these past few years, and I'm finally getting that chance.

Would you please tell me why there is no public recognition in downtown Ontario to honor our local soldiers deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan? I have noticed all other cities honoring their local soldiers by hanging flags with their names and some with their pictures on them. What a wonderful way to show their support.

My husband has been deployed in Desert Storm, twice to Iraq, and is now serving in Afghanistan and I have not noticed anything that stands out in our city. I feel it's a little embarrassing for Ontario, especially when I know some of our city government members have served or have family and friends now serving.

If I'm wrong, I apologize, but I honestly have not seen anything.
