It was with great chagrin that I read that Upland Mayor John Pomierski has again deliberately left off Councilman Ray Musser to serve under one of the numerous committees in the city.
Ray has been an upstanding citizen for many many years in the town and one who could give much-needed leadership and innovative ideas - if he were allowed to do so.
I'm appalled at the spineless action of the City Council who approved of the mayor's "appointments" while pushing one of their own out the back door and slamming it shut. What a bunch of mindless, self-serving puppets! And all because Mr. Musser ran against Pomierski in an election or two . It's a free country, isn't it? How petty.
If the mayor spent as much time on nurturing his "gracious" city as he does on his personal vendetta (which has been going on now for six years!) Upland might live up to its motto much better.
It's time he stopped sucking his thumb, put his blankie down, and stand up and be the leader he was elected to be
