UPLAND - Four-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode paid a visit to the city last week in support of one mayoral candidate.
Rhode, 29, of El Monte, is a doubles trap and international skeet shooter and has placed in four Olympics and many World Cup competitions making her the most decorated female Olympian in the sport.
"You don't realize what you've done - you just enjoy the competition and realize it is a game and realize it is part of your life and it is an honor to represent your country," said Rhodes, a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona.
"At the same time you're just like everybody else. You don't think of yourself as the best in the world."
Rhode shared her medals and her experience participating in the Olympics at a fundraiser held for mayoral candidate Ray Musser on Oct. 30 at Imagine That! on Foothill Boulevard.
