Another Gold Glove for Hunter

Torii Hunter won his eighth consecutive American League Gold Glove award, his first with the Angels after winning seven straight with the Minnesota Twins. "Each one is special, and each one after this is crucial," Hunter said on the Angels Web site. "Willie Mays, Roberto Clemente, Ken Griffey Jr., Andruw Jones ... I'm honored to be up there around those guys. When I thought about it, I was like, `Man, I'm getting closer and closer to those guys."' Hunter, who earned a $100,000 bonus for winning the award, has not made an error since Aug. 31, 2007. The AL outfield record for Gold Gloves is 10, shared by Ken Griffey Jr. and Al Kaline. Joining Hunter on the AL team: outfielders Grady Sizemore (Cleveland) and Ichiro Suzuki (Seattle); infielders Carlos Pena (Tampa Bay), Dustin Pedroia (Boston), Adrian Beltre (Seattle) and Michael Young (Texas); catcher Joe Mauer (Minnesota) and pitcher Mike Mussina (New York Yankees). http://dailybulletin.com/angels/ci_10922220   Read Full Article...
