Paul Allen, Pete Carroll, Mike Garrett and Lane Kiffin are not necessarily at the head of the I'm-so-happy line.
College professors teaching ethics classes are right up there too, thanks to Seattle Seahawks owner Allen, Seahawks coach Carroll, USC athletic director Garrett and USC football coach Kiffin.
Carroll broke his contract as USC football coach to become Allen's executive vice president-coach. Or, if you will, Allen enticed Carroll to break his contract to move to Seattle.
Kiffin broke his contract with Tennessee after one season to become USC's coach. Or, if you will, Garrett enticed Kiffin to break his contract to move to Los Angeles to work, and perhaps back to Manhattan Beach, where he and his family resided when he was a Trojans assistant.
USC has contacted UCLA offensive coordinator Norm Chow, formerly USC's offensive coordinator, and asked him to break his contract with the Bruins.
