Family friendly events Kids Eat Free Getting icy by the ocean Redondo Beach. Is there a better way to celebrate the holiday season in Southern California than with ice-skating by the beach? The second annual Seaside Ice Redondo Beach Winter Festival opens with a party from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, followed by public skating from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at Seaside Lagoon, 200 Portofino Way. The grand opening will include music, special guests and performances by Guinness world record ice-skating spinner Natalia Kanounnikova and Jessica Jacobson, the 2008 Junior National Showcase Champion.
