Early poll gives Hahn an edge in statewide race

As she continues to rake in contributions, Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn is gaining support throughout California for a potential run for lieutenant governor next year, according to a poll funded by her exploratory committee.

Statewide, 24 percent of likely voters chose Hahn over other Democratic contenders who have expressed interest in running in the June 2010 statewide primary, according to a poll conducted Oct. 3-7 by the Santa Monica-based firm of Fairbank, Maslin, Maullin and Associates.

Of the 700 Democrats and decline-to-

state voters surveyed, 8 percent supported state Sen. Dean Florez of Shafter and

7 percent chose state Sen. Alan Lowenthal of Long Beach, while 61 percent were undecided, according to the poll, which had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percent   Read Full Article...
