Power outage

What was the reason for the power outage in the area between 234th Place and 238th Street and Evalyn and Kathryn avenues on the evening of Nov. 18?

Torrance

A wood brace broke on a utility pole in the 23500 block of Evalyn Avenue in Torrance, causing the power outage for about 350 customers, said Scott Gobble, a region manager for Southern California Edison.

The outage began around 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and power was restored to all by 1 a.m. Nov. 19, Gobble said.
